Historical of BGS & CA

1955

It all started with Mrs PRION (dedicated wife of the founder President of the RGC Sart Tilman). She was the driving force in uniting all the Caddies in Belgium and organized the first tournament for them : a “4BBB” at the Royal Latem GC. An Amateur and his Caddy played as a team. The “AM-ART” tournament was born and is still on the BGS & CA-calendar to-day ! In those days, Caddies were active at Liege, Kapellen, De Haan, Het Zoute, Spa, Latem, Ravenstein, Royal Chateau d’Ardenne, Mons and Waterloo.

1964

First tournament of H.M. the King of Belgium for Caddies only.

1971

Official inauguration of the actual BGS & CA with Francis RONVAL as founding President and Secretary.

2013

The 50th Tournament of “H.M. the King of Belgium” for Artisans at the Royal Antwerp Golf Club celebrating their 125th anniversary.
